The Torrey Hawks now have 200 members!!!
We just signed up members #200 and #201!!
This is a pretty big milestone for our club. We started out with 7 original members on April 11th, 2007. In fact, we kept those same 7 members (more or less ... there was some confusion with two pilots named "Ken B.") until September 11th, 2007 when we applied for USHPA Chapter status and went "public" with our club the night before the September 12th Soaring Council meeting.
Initially, we grew at a tremendous pace as pilots all over Southern California wanted to join a new hang gliding club specifically for hang gliding interests at Torrey Pines. Over time, that growth rate has slowed a bit, but we still pick up a few new members every month. And this month, we crossed the 200 member mark!!

Hey Eagle!!
Welcome to the Torrey Hawks Forum!!!
The forecast for this Second Sunday at Torrey (December 13th) is showing SW@9-10 from morning until about 3pm. Then it goes West@8 until after sunset. It also shows a "chance" of rain, so we'll have to keep an eye on it over the next few days.

YO, How do I become member 202 without getting this string of text when I select "JOIN the Hawks"?......
