I was disappointed in some of Davis's responses, but not everyone agrees with me all the time, so I mostly let it slide.

The problem with keeping a group of people working in one direction is that there are so many tangential issues that can split them. Everything from Ginger/MaryAnne to paper/plastic can be a wedge issue to fracture a portion of the group. So I do my best to ignore all those tangential issues so we can all stay focussed on the bigger picture. But it's not easy, and sometimes I've become the wedge issue myself.

As for Doug Poirier, his message to Mark will define him for the rest of his life in my opinion.

SG gave me the honor of moderating this site, and he may have done it so I could walk a mile or two in his shoes!!!

Please be careful about calling people names. I don't want to have to be heavy handed in my moderation. I am tempted to move this topic to the basement because of the name calling, but Davis did start it with his post titled "Is Bob a lunatic?" and then essentially arguing "yes". But in general, we should strive to be better than that.

I do appreciate all the support from members (and others), but we have to try to be better than the "other guys" when we can (another lesson I can work on for myself).
