The plan will come from pilots, not the borg.
The corporation has no 'product' to sell.
Instructors are the value added producers and everyone else in the system are in it for something else.
Feeding instructors instead of google stalking/marketing experts makes much more sense.
People don't take up hang gliding because big brother algorithms have tracked them down. Are there any pilots that will disagree?
The future of hang gliding is in instruction, plain and simple. |

An instructor's union should be formed for the benefit of instructors, the true lifeblood of the sport. Everything hinges on instructors.
An independent instructor's guild/non profit group could develop a training syllabus that would be more effective than the bean counting system in place now.
Scooter tow teams could go to unserved areas of the country and market
"Free Hang Gliding Lessons" and then give the first lesson for free..
This would be a true lead generation program.
It opens the door to anyone so inclined to actually fly and you can quickly weed out the rest.
This would be funded by grants/donations from the borg foundation and in addition, a new pilot's organization/union/guild that cries out to be formed. |

People are leaving USHPA for a lot of reasons, money isn't the top issue.
How many members and ex-members would be willing to put a few bucks in the pot to form a new organization? Instead of going cold turkey take over the borg from within. Lead by example by showing how to 'generate' pilots and instructors through creative altruism.
One thousand pilots could do it by funding a central training center for instructors, then farming the instructors out to proselytize the sport in the untapped hinterlands of an unserved population. Not everyone can go to Wallaby or Lookout to train. |

in place. Ones that are stoked and excited about the new journey to come.
If that is unreasonable, then the creation of an alternate organization will
eventually come.

I'm not ignoring you Windlord, I appreciate that you have responded a couple times. I have a bit of a writing block.
There is so much going on in the world that interest in the micro-corporatism of the long lost hang gliding organization is waning for me. You wrote that you don't like politics in most forms but politics is why we are robbed and enslaved on a global scale.
Hang gliding is fast becoming something only for the elite to enjoy. We are deep in a political rabbit hole and things are getting worse. We tune out in exchange for happy thoughts and self medication to numb the pain. It's a vicious cycle that was engineered a long time ago. We are lab rats in a cage, my friend. The economy is engineered to bust. Our food is engineered to kill and dumb us down. Our water is mass medication poison and they are spraying us with toxic metals and who knows what else.. We are being robbed of our heritage and our culture. Morals are stripped along with the family unit. The State has maneuvered to own our children and ourselves.
The court system is criminal. Anyone that has gone through it knows it. Go along to get along keeps us on the path to total enslavement.. those that are allowed to live... arrrrgggghhh! too deep.. too dark for such a sunny chemtrailed day..
I gotta get outside so I can soak up the sky toxins.. |
